We offer a range of dog training classes to help you achieve the results you’re after with your canine companion. Our classes focus on engagement, joy of learning and real life immersion. We are back indoors for the cooler seasons, however, there will be some new COVID implementations to comply with facility requirements.
We require our clients be willing and open to training equipment suggestions when it is of benefit to the dog. Items like Transitional Leashes, Head Halters and Prong Collars are all of huge benefit where the situation warrants it, and can help you succeed faster and create a clearer communication strategy for your and your dog.
Puppy Skillz 0.5
This class is for puppies 10 weeks to 16 weeks, who have had at least their first and preferably second round of shots. The main focus of this course is common puppy issues, socialization, confidence building, and introduction to simple obedience.
Equipment Required: flat collar or martingale collar or harness, 6 foot leash, treats/food
$140.00 plus HST – 3 x One hour sessions.
Basic Skillz 1.0
Our most sought after class for puppies and dogs 16 weeks and up. This course teaches you how to gain control of your canine companion under distraction with all of the basics of obedience – come, sit, down, stay, heel, leave it, off and more!
This is a one size fits all class, all ages, all breeds and all sizes welcome! We work on engagement with your dog, focus and attention, and we offer full access for 6 months to our Online Basic Skillz Course!
Puppies MUST have their vaccinations completed.
Equipment required: 6 foot leash, transitional leash or head halter or prong collar and treats.
$250.00 + HST – 6 x one hour in person sessions plus an online introduction session, and online testing. All with 6 months access to our Basic Skillz 1.0 Self Paced Online course.
The test is optional but MUST be passed in order to receive a certificate and move on to Bootcamp Class.
Bootcamp Skillz 1.5
Our highly recommended real world training class. This is the perfect class for those who want to gain more control and perfect your dogs obedience under real life distractions! As a follow up to our Smart Dogs Basic Skillz, this course will prepare you and your dog for situations that may come up in your day to day routine. This class runs rain or shine, snow or humidity, outdoors, in a real life environment so be prepared for the weather. Different locations and distraction levels each week!
Equipment required: 15-20 foot long line, 6 foot leash, transitional leash or head halter or prong collar and treats.
Prerequisite: Smart Dogs Basic Skillz
$210.00 + HST – 5 x one hour sessions.
Refresher Skillz 2.0
Open to all levels of training, for puppies and dogs 6 Months and up, this once a month class is a perfect alternative to committing to set sessions if you can not do so, or to get some extra practice in. We cover both basic and advanced obedience, behaviour, tricks and whatever tickles your or our fancy on class night. The benefits of continued group training for your dog is endless. You can sign up any time. This is an on-the-fly-class runs rain or shine, so be prepared for the weather.

Rally-Obedience Skillz
Open to all dogs that have some basic knowledge of training, for puppies and dogs 16 weeks and up. This is the perfect introductory class to the wonderful world of Rally Obedience. This is a super fun sport that can be done for fun or competition. It is very welcoming to all breeds/mixes and abilities. You will learn the important foundational skills for Rally Obedience, how to engage your dog, Novice Signs (CARO) and how to run simple Novice courses. Rally is a simple and cost effective dog sport and can be practiced anywhere.
Puppies MUST have their vaccinations completed.
Equipment required: 6 foot leash, collar or harness.
Prerequisite: Knowledge of simple obedience commands (sit, down, stay)
